Best Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is truly state of the art. And to tell you what I think is the best laser hair removal would have to be the long-pulse systems. They seem most effective. This is a high-tech method for getting rid of unwanted hair, excessive hair, or hair you just are tired of always tweezing or waxing. So far, laser hair removal is the only method that has been proven to keep hair gone from large areas of the body, including the back, legs, chest and face. And it is generally within the budget of most people for something as permanent as this.

The best treatments work for people with light skin and black or dark brown hair, but it may work for others. Laser clinics can tell you their experience with your skin type. It’s important to visit their website, then email questions, or call them and find out if your skin type will work for them.

There is an at-home FDA approved laser hair removal system that I’ve found does a very good job and may be right for you. It is called the Tria Laser Hair Removal system. It cost around $600 and is the only one at this writing that is designed for at home use.

The Tria is probably a good choice if you’re fair skinned and have darker hair. You’ll need six to eight treatments, just like at the spa, and you’ll need to space them out like the spa would advise as well. One thing I found with even the best laser hair removal is that occasional maintenance treatments are needed and with the Tria, you can do it yourself, or with a friend, without having to pay for more sessions.

Don’t think laser hair removal is painless. Most clinics will apply some sort of topical anesthesia or a skin flattener during your session. This relieves the pain. So with a home unit like Tria, naturally we’re not going to have the pain killers the clinics use, but you can set the unit to work at a lower setting. This is the main reason treatment takes a few sessions longer than when at a spa or clinic.

This device isn’t FDA approved on people with dark skin. It can cause pain and injury. I found it very cool that the Tria laser hair removal device comes locked from the manufacturer. You have to call them to get the unlock code. And at that time they coach you on how to use it best. Europe and Asia have had such a device for a while and it’s nice to see one available for this market.

So if you don’t opt for the Tria, shop for a nice clinic and ask if they use the long pulse laser which I believe is the best laser hair removal system. Then find out how they are covered in case of a mishap or if you buy a package, and move or get sick, how the refund system works. Make sure you have a phone number for them and are communicating well with someone there you can voice your concerns, if any.
